Informations about Parnassos Ski Center

Kαλημέρα I'm fond of ski and mountain. I often come to walk in summer in the parnassos when I come to Greece, and I am interested about the parnassos history. I'm also member of a french web site dedicated to the ski stations and their lifts. Does somebody know the history of (all) lifts which equipped the parnassos ski center ?Cordially Cyrille63

Even though I've never been to Parnassos SC and I'm in north of the country, here's a little translation from the resort's webpage.

«Η κατασκευή του Κέντρου ξεκίνησε το 1975 και ολοκληρώθηκε το 1976, οπότε και άρχισαν να λειτουργούν οι εγκαταστάσεις της Φτερόλακκας. Το 1981 ολοκληρώθηκε η κατασκευή των εγκαταστάσεων και στα Κελάρια , ενώ το 1987-1988 μπήκε σε λειτουργία ο Ερμής", ο συνδετικός αναβατήρας μεταξύ της Φτερόλακκας και των Κελαριών. Το 1993 προστέθηκε ο πρώτος εναέριος τετραθέσιος αναβατήρας αποσυμπλεκόμενης τεχνολογίας στην Ελλάδα, ο σύγχρονος " Ηρακλής ", στη θέση Κελάρια 1950.»

Construction of the resort started in 1975 and was completed in 1976, when the part of Fterolaka started operation. In 1981 construction of Kelaria part was finished and in 1987-1988 Ermis lift started operation to connect Fterolaka and Kelaria. In 1993 the first aerial 4p lift in Greece, Iraklis, was added in the Kelaria 1950 position.

It's difficult for me to have historical informations of ski centers because I go in Greece only in summer and alls ski centers are closed (no lifts open in summer, excepted).

That's why I hope to find more informations on this forum (I think that some members must know the Parnassos very well).
