Here the last snowy winter was 2004-2005! In Jan 2005 we had a week of continous snow and inland in my region there were 2-4 METRES of snow even at 300-500 mt. of altitude! Here by the sea just 30 cm. but about 1 MT. at 300 mt. of altitude, near the coast! It was an exceptional winter..snow and cold even in february and march!! Then winter 2005-2006 was cold and quiet rainy but just a few days of snow and no accumulation except for anout 5 cm.! Winter 2006-2007 was AWFUL! THE WARMEST EVER i think!! No snow at all and spring-like temperatures.. january was like a normal march
One of the best snowstorms in my area was the one of Dec 1996! I was 13 years old but i remember it perfectly..after the big snow the temp. was about -10°C! In my area when the snow and cold comes from E-N/E, so from Russia and the Balkans, we call it Burian!
Now is summer and we have a BAD HEAT WAVE! It's hot and humid since the 20th of June, 30°/34°C the day and 20°C the night.. before the 20th of june it has been very rainy!!

I am sorry that I haven't answer you for so long. I have to say that the winters after 2000 are normal, except 2007. They are normal because we see snow. On the other hand, the precipitation is not enough!! We have 3 days with snow during the winter and 45 days of sun! This is disgusting!
If you want tell me some things for the winters in your area.
